USDA Issues Salmonella Alert for Chicken Nuggets, Mac & Cheese, and Brownies

The USDA has issued a salmonella alert for a brownie dessert included in packages of Conagra Brand chicken nuggets, macaroni & cheese, and brownie dessert meals. The Food Safety and Inspection service is alerting consumers after recalling over 110,000 pounds of the product when suppliers discovered an ingredient was contaminated with salmonella.

Product Details

This recall applies to these breaded chicken nugget, macaroni and cheese, and chocolate brownie meal trays:

  • 7.4 oz. vacuum-packed trays containing “BANQUET Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese” with Code 3100080921 and a “BEST IF USED BY” date of July 20, 2018.
  • The products bear FSIS establishment number “P-9” printed on the side of the box.
  • These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

Consumers are urged not to consume them, but to return these items or simply toss them in the trash.
