Ingredients:

2 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
Honey (Organic, locally sourced if possible)
1 teaspoon of coconut oil OR 1/4-1/2 tsp of black pepper (to aid turmeric absorption)

Directions:

Bring the water to a boil.  Once boiling add ½ teaspoon each ground ginger and ground turmeric. Reduce to a simmer for 10-15 minutes. Strain and add honey to taste. Once the tea is at drinking temperature, add either the coconut oil or black pepper (to aid turmeric absorption). Enjoy twice daily. This recipe yields about 2 servings.
