Foster Farms Recalls Frozen Chicken Products Due to Plastic Contamination

Foster Farms is recalling over 130,000 lbs of frozen chicken patty products that may have plastic contamination.
The following products were produced on February 15, 2017, and consumers are urged not to consume them:

  • “5-lb. bags containing 20 pieces of ‘FOSTER FARMS Chicken Patties BREADED CHICKEN BREAST PATTIES WITH RIB MEAT’ with Best By date of 02/15/18.
  • The products subject to recall bear establishment number ‘P-33901’ inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distribution centers in Alaska, Arizona, California, Utah and Washington.”

A few people reached out to Foster Farms in early April after they found pieces of clear plastic inside the chicken patties. The company believes they originated from the materials used for packaging.
